Well I wanted him too but Florida raised the ante with the 5th year. More power to them. I am glad the Mets passed on that.

Well I'm not happy about it but I think it's better than giving him 5 years. :-/

As for who now? Not sure but I hope the Mets can revisit the supposed deal with Boston for Doug M.

Doug M and bullpen help was what I wanted most of all; but the asking price from the BoSox is Y. Petit; which I think is too much. Although the Mets don't have a very deep system anymore so I can't blame Bosox for wanting Petit. Where's Matt Peterson when you need 'em? Pirates...
