10-team, H2H, points-based keeper league. 50 player roster size. We're getting ready to do our auction draft and I'd like to have some ideas on where to spend my auction dollars.

Offense:

1 point: 1B, BB, R, RBI, SB
2 points: 2B
3 points: 3B
5 points: HR

Pitching:

1 point: IP
2 points: K
5 poitns: W

Starting lineup right now:

C: V-Mart
1B: Teixeira (Nevin backup)
2B: Utley (Belliard backup)
3B: Chavez (Ensberg backup)
SS: Rollins (Crosby & Reyes backup)
OF: Matsui, Abreu, Patterson (Berkman when he's healthy)
DH: Hafner

SP: Harden, Sabathia, Morris, Lilly, Lee (Easton, Foppert, Wade Miller, John Thomson backups)

I think my real weakness is my SP. Do I have a shot or should I rebuild? Thanks in advance.

Hey Tribe - I dont do point based leagues, so bear with me. Have you run your lineup through your scoring system yet? I guess my biggest concern is the lack of weight put on SBs. It seems that speed players like Rollins, Reyes, Abreu, and Patterson would all be worth much more in a roto setup where a SB is actually more valueable than a HR. What you need to do is find this out - pinpoint those players at each position that hit for power rather than SBs - which is worth more? By how much?

I really like your offense and I think your pitching staff is only slightly below avg - but again, because of your scoring system, maybe a strong offense and avg pitching is the best strategy.
