Whos Got The Best Offensive Lineup In Baseball???

Postby PappaGino297 » Tue Jan 25, 2005 5:25 am

I think the Red Sox have the best offensive lineup in 05' anyone else agree? There is only 2 other teams that even could challenge the sox for the best lineup in 05' and they are the Yanks and Cards.

2005 Projected Lineup For The Red Sox:

1) Johnny Damon
2) Edgar Renteria
3) Manny Ramirez
4) David Ortiz
5) Kevin Millar
6) Trot Nixon
7) Jason Varitek
8) Bill Mueller
9) Mark Bellhorn[/b]

This should be in another forum but I'm always up for a discussion.

IMO Boston has the best lineup by far. If you take out the DH, STL is close but I still like Boston's lineup better. The Yankees lineup doesn't really impress me much as I thought it would. There is a serious lack of youth outside of Jeter and A-Rod. As always health will play a huge part. Here are the top 5 offenses in order as I see it.

I would be very surprised to see Renteria bat 2nd in Boston.
1) Johnny Damon
2) Mark Bellhorn
3) Manny Ramirez
4) David Ortiz
5) Kevin Millar
6) Trot Nixon
7) Edgar Renteria
8) Jason Varitek
9) Bill Mueller

Cards
1) Eckstein
2) Walker
3) Pujols
4) Edmonds
5) Rolen
6) Sanders
7) Gruz
8) Y. Molina
9) Pitcher

Yanks
1) Jeter
2) Arod
3) Shef
4) Matsui
5) Giambi
6) Posada
7) Bernie
8) Tino
9) Womack

Rangers
1) Michael Young
2) Hank Blalock
3) Alfonso Soriano
4) Mark Teixeira
5) Richard Hidalgo
7) Kevin Mench
8) Rod Barajas
9) Laynce Nix

Angels
1) Chone Figgins
2) Darin Erstad
3) Steve Finley
4) Vladimir Guerrero
5) Garret Anderson
6) Orlando Cabrera
7) Jeff DaVanon
8) Ben Molina
9) Dallas McPherson

Marlins Line up

Postby someone25 » Sun Jan 30, 2005 6:13 am

Pierre
Castillo
Cabrera
Delgado
Lowell
Lo Duca
Encarnacion (although Conine should slip in if Juan is dealt)
Gonzalez

Exactly my kind of fantsy line up as well...power at the corners, speed up the middle, productive catcher.
