Next Question-Trade 4th Overall for 7th Overall?

I have just made a post about who I would pick with the 4th overall pick in the draft. And now, I seem to be at again, another dilemma. I think it might be a good idea to trade for a 7th round pick all because I would be getting a guy like Manny, Helton or even Randy or Santana, who (Manny and Helton) put up similar numbers to Arod or Vlad. I was just wondering what the cafe thought.

I think he meant trade the 4th pick for the 7th pick for the entire draft.

I think it's a matter of personal preference to be honest...I think I would either trade it for a late pick, such as 9+ or not trade it at all. I don't really like the 5-8th picks.

Well with OBA you're going to have to find out who the top players are... Bonds could be #1. And also, what would you get in return for switching #4 overall for #7 overall?

If you can get that...take it and run. You could try to just keep talking up the difference between the top 4 players and the rest of the league, thus making the other owner think your 4th pick is actually a lot more valuable than it really is. I don't think there's a huge value difference between draft picks in non-keeper leagues, but he might think otherwise. Talk about the top 4 players and see what he says about additional picks for you...but I'd be surprised if you get something decent out of him.

Ok I offered the guy my 4th overall for his 7th overall and 9th round pick and he said he would do it...then I said what bout 8th round and he said hed think bout it...So with either one, would this turn out to be good for me?
