here is the situation i right now have the 3rd overall pick in my draft but the man with the 6th overall pick is willing to trade me his picks for mine. I would be able to get A-rod at the 3rd overall pick sense the first 2 are picking beltran and puljos should i take the 6th overall pick so i can get someone better in the second round and be in the middle of the pack the whole draft

you should take vlad. :-)

or you should only switch this pick, your 2nd round picks, and your 4th round picks.

but i think i'd just take vlad.

Don't do it, I'd rather have A-Rod locked up then be hoping for Vlad to make it down to me at #6. Vlad usually goes 4th or 5th, rarely 6th in many leagues. Try and find out what the guys right behind you are thinking and if they are leaning towards guys like Tejada, Santana, etc. Then you could take a risk that could pay off. But the safe thing to do is take ARod and build around him.

I highly doubt that Vlad would drop to 6th. Personally, I would stay put. A-Rod is a fantasy stud. Even in an off year last year, he filled up the stat sheet. Look for his stats to return to normal this year.

I will go with the majority here and say to "stay put". like someone else said an off year for him is a great year for others, cant go wrong with a rod...............

I think maybe the postings have misunderstood. Staying put would be remaining at the #6 slot and therefore AROD would probably not be available. It's difficult to predict but I would say fairly confidently that AROD and Vlad would both be gone by the #6 position. That said of the fantasy leagues that I have been apart, most people in the latter half of the draft do better than those in the first. I think there are as good or better fantasy selections in the 2nd and 4th rounds of the draft that make position more critical.
