Thats a pretty well rounded roster you got there. But isnt Cliff Lee in the starting rotation for cleveland now ? Id try to sell one of those big money veteran outfielders though, try to pick up some speed or some MI help. Id say Lugo + Womack are the weak points. Your bullpen is stacked though. Gagne AND Hoffman? Excellent.

You should be pleased you have a solid squad accept i don't like womack or lugo in ur starting lineup there are plenty of other options to fill those spots. Womack won't be nearly as affective as he was last year. He will be be hitting 8th or 9th in the Yankees lineup as opposed to leading off for the best lineup in the NL (Cardinals) Plus he doesn't run enough anymore, his age and the risk of injury always scare me. Also, I heard the Yanks have a stud infielder that could take over for womack in the second half. Lugo isjust a bum plain and simple. Try to look for a Mark Bellhorn type player thats still available on the waiver wire.

thanks guys.. yeah im not a huge fan of startin womack and lugo either but the only free agent MI left are Bellhorn, Miles, Counsell...
i think its safer to go with womack and lugo/vizquel then bellhorn

Why do you use IP as a scoring catagory?

I am in a league that uses ip it isnt that bad.

I dont get it - help me out. Doesnt this encourage churning?

What about CGs? Isnt that one of the flukiest stats you can have? Why would you want to enter in such a degree of luck as CGs?

personally i dont like it either i like leagues that are 6x6 but i been doin this league with a group of my friends since 2000 and until this year it was 10x10 we also used to count triples and shutous.. they think it makes it more challenging having all these extra cat's.. they say its too easy to draft in a 5x5.. i dont agree but since im 1 out of 11 it dont matter.. theres only 1 other person that agrees with me and thats not enough to get anything done.. this way is still fun..

with IP people can be cheap and just add a pitcher every day when he starts but teams in my league try that every year and altho u might win the innings cat they usualy take a big hit in L, BB, ERA and WHIP so let them be cheap they hurt themselves more then it helps and with CG it is somewhat luck but u can also draft guys like colon, livan, johnson etc who you know are workhorses and get alot of CGs but if there isnt a wildcard cat i feel sometimes things can become too predictable.. the unpredicatable is what gives u something to go nuts about and root for and keeps the excitement in the league up all year round
