First Post/Rate My Team/Taking Over Team

Hey guys, I've pretty much lurked around here the last few months trying to get a better sense of Fantasy Baseball. I've always enjoyed the game, but have never played any fantasy. I'm taking over a team from someone last year in a keeper league. His team was pretty good, but apparently he never checked it. Its a ten team league h2h.

BB - Walks (Batters) 1 point
CS - Caught Stealing -1 point
CYC - Hitting for the Cycle 4 points
E - Errors -1 point
HP - Hit by Pitch 1 point
HR - Home Runs 4 points
KO - Strikeouts (Batter) -1 point
R - Runs 1 point
RBI - Runs Batted In 1 point
SB - Stolen Bases 2 points

Scoring for Pitching Categories
BS - Blown Saves -3 points
CG - Complete Games 10 points
CGL - Complete Game Loss 5 points
ER - Earned Runs -2 points
INN - Innings 3 points
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
L - Losses -5 points
NH - No-Hitters 10 points
PG - Perfect Games 10 points
S - Saves 10 points
SO - Shutouts 5 points
W - Wins 10 points

It is not a bad looking team but you probably need to improve your pitching the most. Welcome to the cafe...

I agree. Your hitting is pretty solid, along with your relief pitching. You're gonna have to make some upgrades on your starting pitchers though.

I would trade Beltre, for a top outfielder and a top starting pitcher. If you could get that, you would be in business, as Mora would move to third base.

Some might say... no no keep Beltre...

I say sell high.

Don't settle, you need help on the mound and in the outfield.

So see what you can get. Don't ask for the moon, but ask for a lot anyway.

Not a bad squad, I would trade a 3b for a pitcher or outfielder. Beyond Bonds, Pierre, and Matsui, i think your OF are questionable. I would also try and acquire a 2b. Not much production can be expected from the guys you have.
