from the roto times...
Gonzalez underwent Tommy John surgery last August, and will be used sparingly in Cactus League games to keep him ready for opening day.
rotoworld
Less than six months removed from Tommy John surgery, Luis Gonzalez is on a throwing program and said he's nearly pain free.
Gonzalez hasn't cut loose with any long throws yet, but since he's not a pitcher, there's little reason to believe his elbow will be much of a factor this season. The Diamondbacks will take it easy with him during spring training, letting him save the real throws for the start of the regular season.
the sporting news
Gonzalez still hasn't tried to throw a ball from the warning track to second base since having Tommy John surgery this offseason, according to the Arizona Republic. He is expected to be ready for spring training, though his playing time will be limited.
all sound about the same... he can still hit, just not able to throw well yet
I didn't really say everything I said.
