Would you trade Vlad for Soriano?

I'm curious, would you trade Vlad for Soriano? In this case, I don't think it matters if you are in a keeper league or not (though I'd like to hear consideration of both).

I know there are all kinds of stipulations some of you would put on this trade, so let's hear those too.

I would do it. Even if you lose a little in a straight comparison of Vlad to Soriano, you gain so much at 2B that it seems worth it. Also, it seems like a lot of people have an OF in their utility spot, or carry an extra quality OF. So you can usually fill Guerrero's spot in the OF with a decent player, and plug whomever you want into the utility spot. Generally speaking this player will easily be able to outperform your starting 2B.

Yes. But I traded for Vlad, and had Soriano before that, so I have both. It's easier to choose between the two that way.

decent outfielder than a 2b.

heh, I also had soriano and traded for vlad (without giving up soriano). definitely nice to have two 40-40 level guys on your team

To those that traded FOR Vlad...I need ideas, who'd you give up to get him?

I had a huge outfield surplus, so to get Vlad I gave up Mussina and Damon, and then traded Berkman for Morris in order to replace Mussina.

I'm a big fan of consolidating talent in smaller leagues, so that gave me an extra roster slot and let me improve on Damon in a big way.
