18 teams in the league make my gut reaction to the rounds guys were picked in off.

Consider that compared to a 12 team league they are picking an extra round worth of players every 2 rounds. Therefore, a 4th rd pick is like a 6th rd pick.

I think Peavy and Pavano were still probably picked a little high.

Lowell and Jones not as bad.

I think Ghost has the best team so far and Scotty has a slight edge over Chill.

I just added Washburn to my staff, not the greatest of pitchers, but I think he'll bounce back and have a decent season. But there still isn't much left to choose from pitchers. There will be a lot of starters going the next few rounds, teams speculating over who will have a breakout year and contribute to their club. It's going to be a hell of a league I'll tell you that much. I'll I can really say at this point is Extremists won't be winning our league this year. He basically traded picks in which he could've had solid veterans to load up in the Minors Draft (he has 7 of the first 10 picks). He's taken so many risks that even if a couple of them pan out, he's still not going to do much of anything for a few years.

I have a homework excersize for you guys.

Since a 7x7 scoring system will change the standard 5x5 values of these players, Im interested to see who is worth what.

Go to this site and for the 3 teams Id like to see what each would have earned last yr:

http://www.rototimes.com/index.php?spor ... type=rater

Can you then repost the 3 teams with the dollar values next to each player? I know its crude since you are using last years stats, but at least it will be a starting point to see what you can basically expect from your players.

I really think this would help all three of you.

I would except that site doesn't have OPS, WHIP, or HOLDS as categories...
