I'm hoping someone on this board will be able to direct me to a free site that has what I need.
Last year I formed a 'BeaneBall' 5x5 roto league. The categories were:
R, HR, SB, OBP, SLG
SV, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9
Two of my primary motivations were (1) get a better sense of which players excelled based on the 'new' metrics as opposed to traditional metrics; and (2) help me anticipate under-valued players (especially younger players) for my main fantasy league (a traditional 5x5 league).
The best part about setting it up as a Yahoo league is that Yahoo sorts the player rankings based on the customized league settings. (fyi: O-Rank is player rankings on 3-year average, Rank is player rankings on season stats.) Until now. Though I can still get to the league page, Yahoo is clearly preparing to reset all their leagues. One indication is that the 'Players' page is messed up, and now longer includes all the category information. One unfortunate consequence is that all rankings are now based on traditional 5x5 categories.
Does anybody know of any sites I can go to which will generate rankings or dollar values based on customized categories? The pitching categories, especially, can be very telling and helpful when making ranking decisions for traditional 5x5.
Alternatively, does anyone have a formula for creating dollar values? I suppose if it comes to it, I could just do the dollar values myself on Excel - in all my copious free time (HAH!).
I'd like a free site, as I can just wait for Yahoo to open their leagues again, and I don't really care enough to pay. If I can find a place to do it, I think it'd be interesting grist for the mill to post the rankings here. Might be helpful to people.
Thanks!
