This isn't nearly as funny as "pen island", but I once spellchecked something that I wrote that included the world "Superbowl". The spell checker changed Superbowl to Superb Owl.

Well... it was kinda funny at the time. :-/

A co-worker sent me the link. Her story is that she was looking to buy pens in bulk, since her students are always borrowing and not returning her pens. I somehow doubt that story.
