I like Vlad better this year, I think. And I'm starting to wonder whether Tejada might not also be a better bet than the Cooler these days. Slappy has posted declining OPS in each of the last four years, plays a position that's unusually deep this season, and in a park unkind to right-handed power. And that monkey on his back ain't gonna help.

Mr Client, because 3b is sooooo deep this year, After reconsideration, I would have to take vlad.......In my mock, I took A-rod before vlad and now wish I could take it back......
I'd take Vlad before A-Rod myself. Vlad's just got much better hitting stats. While I expect A-Rod to post better hitting numbers in 2005, the fact remains that Yankee stadium ain't friendly to his swing. Plus, his 28 steals in 2004 was a big bouce from his prior 5 years. Look for his steals to decline to 15 to 20.
I'd take A-Rod over Beltran, though. To me, Beltran's steals are just waiting to tail off, which would drop his value considerably.
Pujols is far and away my #1 pick.
I am the Master. Don't question the Master. Just do what he says and be proud.
Were I confident that A Rod would again have 10+ more stolen bases than Vlad, I'd consider taking him. But his other numbers last year are in line with other top 3B. I'd go with Vlad.
