i have him 5th in my SS rankings
i think he could get 30+ SB 65 RBI and 100+ runs
that is if he continues to improve which i think he will

I wish he would worry more about getting on base in front of Abreu, and Thome. It would be great if he could take a few more walks. I see a slight decline from last years numbers.

I think he'll bat close to .300 get double digit homers and 30+ sbs. I'd put him in the top 7 or 8 for sure for SS

I agree, he's a very solid sleeper if he could still qualify as a sleeper. I've got him as my 6th SS right now with something like: 98/15/76/.285

I agree. Tejada is the only SS that I would take very early. Everyone else has questions/concerns and can be had later.

Living in Pennsylvania, I get to see a lot of the phillies on TV, and I see them in person when the Dodgers are in town...

In my opinion, Rollins is the right age, in the right ballpark (looks and feels just like Camden Yards) and is at the top of the right lineup to have a great three to four year run ahead of him.

He is a great pick for a keeper league, if the manager has enough nerve to keep a shortstop outside of Tejada and or Jeter.

That said, I would not take Rollins ahead of Tejada or Jeter for 2005. And if I knew for SURE Nomar was healthy, I would take Nomar ahead of Rollins too.

But make no mistake, Rollins is going to make his fantasy managers very happy this season, and he will make them look like geniuses if he can be had in the sixth round or later.

(All that said) He's a fifth round pick in a twelve team league if I ever saw one....

Imagine taking him in the fourth round... for most managers that would mean Rollins will be their second or third hitter chosen....

That is too high.

God, what in the world does Micheal Young have to do to get any respect? Come on, would you really take Jimmy Rollins over that guy? Rollins may get some bases but Young will probably beat him in every other category. Tejada is the only SS worth picking in the first 3 rounds. 4th round on I'll start considering Micheal Young and possibly Jeter.

100 plus runs are also guaranteed for this guy in that ballpark, so with your .300 avg, double digit HR and 30+ sb's he is a Top 4 SS, maybe even Top 3. 7 or 8 is too low.

I personally have him at 4 behind Tejada, Jeter and Young.

He will be undervalued in drafts and I'll be targeting him bigtime.

I think all of Phillie's players (with the exception of Abreu, who could hardly do better than he did last year) will benefit from the absence of Mr. Bowa and his "motivation techniques"--i.e. screaming at you at the top of his lungs.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
