LF = Marcus Thames / Rondell White
CF = Alex Sanchez / Nook Logan
RF = Bobby Higginson
Should be drafted:
IRod - You may have heard of him.
Carlos Guillen - should be had cheap - dont forget he is injured and will likely miss the season opener - he should only miss a couple weeks though. - Depending on how much you have to pay for him, he could be a great bargain - he was the 3rd best SS last yr after Tejada and Young.
Dmitri Young - Professional hitter - his value is low because he has 1b only eligibility and because he was injured for the majority of last yr.
Omar Infante - had a very good full season and most people familiar with him know he is ready to break out - easily one of the biggest true sleepers in fantasy - will be SS/2B eligible.
A. Sanchez - he has a solid BA, but a terrible OBP. He gets plenty of SBs, but isnt a good base runner (high CS%). He could easily get replaced by Nook Logan who is faster, a better base runner, and much much better defensively - the problem with Nook is h cant hit as well - yet.
Carlos Pena - You want an end of the draft breakout candidate? Try this: Pena hit 89/27/82/7/.242 last yr - obviously its the BA that keeps his value low. This offseason he was flirting with a .400 BA in winterball. Apparantly he took a couple more yrs to develop than people had thought, but he's finally here. Dont be the guy that passes on Pena.
Jeremy Bonderman - He's pretty much on everyone's "sleeper" list, so Im not sure how cheap he can be had anymore. He really figured it out last yr and he could be a great 3rd or 4th fantasy SP for you this yr.
Troy Percival - While he lost velocity last yr, its his location and experience that attracted the Detroit watchers this past yr. As long as he stays healthy he should remain a top 15 closer.
Uggey Urbina - Why not draft him in the last rd - he'll be traded to a contender to be their closer before the deadline anyway.
I count 9 Tigers that should be drafted in every league.
Honorable mention: Inge, Robertson, Ledezma
