Good post. But the way I see it, in a yearly re-draft, RJ is still the pitcher to have. It's not the safe choice, but it's the one with the most upside. If you want safe, I wouldn't take a pitcher at number 5, or in the first round for that matter, and I'd go with a Helton or Manny with the 5th pick.
well in my keeper draft manny was taken at #5 but that was kinda a bad pick IMO, i got tejada at number 6 and Santana was taken right after that. lol, i got helton with the 19th overall pick, but i doubt he will ever fall that far in most drafts

If all the top hitters in the first round are gone, I'll take Santana with the 11th or 12th pick. Otherwise I prefer to take hitting early. Usually a stud K guy in the first 3 rounds, and 2 hitters.
