I'm not sold on either of these two guys. Given the choice, I'd probably go with Wells as long as 3b is covered.

Both of them will be "unprotected" in their respective lineups this year.

If Schlabotnik isn't sold on either of those guys I'd love to be in a league with him

By "not sold" I meant "disappointed". If memory serves me correct, Vernon's 2004 numbers were pretty much in line with his 2003 numbers if extrapolated over a full (injury free) season. Huff, however, took a step backward at an age where he should be in his prime.

P.S. Spell my name correctly.

I think Shlab is right about the extrapolation, there is not a ton of difference except in run production which is obviously a function of the surrounding cast.

Another point there: Koskie is not such a fall off from Delgado 2004 and with Tosca gone Wells can only steal more bases.

Tosca was not the problem - it's JP Riccardi. The Jays do not play small ball as a matter of principle. That being said, I do not think that his SB will decline. Just don't expect them to go up.

and btw - Koskie is a huge drop off from Delgado. Do not use last year's numbers to measure Carlos.
