What round would you take him? What are your projections for him?

He had a great year no question. Im just not sold he can do it again, personally. He played well above his projected 90th percentile in 2004, I can't see this continuing.

From Rotoworld:

Fernando Vina continues to be bothered by tendinitis in his left knee and probably won't be ready for Opening Day.
"We're not counting on him from a health standpoint," GM Dave Dombrowski said Tuesday. "In all likelihood, I know he is not going to be ready." Vina's absence will only be felt if Carlos Guillen starts off on the DL. Even then, the Tigers won't lose much going with Ramon Martinez and Jason Smith at second base or even using Ryan Raburn if he has a strong spring. Omar Infante will start at second base if Guillen is healthy. Jan. 4 - 8:56 pm et

Guillen will have numbers similar to last yr. He was always projected to be a decent hitter, and was developing nicely but has been sidelined and slowed by nagging injuries. Last yr he hit:
97,20,97,12,.318 8-o

Apparantly most people consider it a fluke, which is why he is rated somewhere after furcal, rollins, and even Matsui in a couple rankings Ive seen (6-9 SS). Personally I think thats ridiculous, considering those numbers last yr put him top 3 easily. Ill wait and draft him later and consider it solid value.

95,18,90,14,.300 ;-D

Hopefully he wont be out too long - from what I remember he shouldnt miss too much time - a month - worst case two months.

The last thing about guillen from rotoworld discussed his knee surgery on sept 29, and that "barring any setbacks" he should be ready for the start of 2005. Whether that means spring training on time or not, its worth keeping an eye on.
