Good signing. Everyone thought he might get only $5 per, but he did well for himself, and considering Benson and Milton got more, that's a good deal for the Dodgers, too.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.

Well, the defense behind Odalis is slightly worse, though. Alex Cora/Cesar Izturis was arguably the top DP turning middle infield in the MLB last year...defensively speaking. Jeff Kent brings a 30 homer bat, even at his old age, to Dodger Stadium but that will come at the expense of poorer defense.

What's the plan for them at 1st? Is it going to be Choi/Werth, or what?

Thats a nice point. And here's an even scarier statistic from 2004:

Odalis Perez

Ground ball outs: 286
Fly ball outs: 170

:-o

This is a little worrying....

I think that Odalis and his agent are the smartest ones here. They waited, let the market shake out, and made themselves an extra two or three million a year. I like The "o Man" this year.

How do you spell "biased?"

As a Dodger fan, this is good news.

As a Fantasy Owner, I would not count on him winning much more than one third of his starts.

True, but with 33 starts, that would still be at least 4 more wins than he had in 2004!

wow! I was hoping he'd go back to the Braves but there is no way they would have paid that for him. It think it's a good move for Odalis for sure and a pretty good bargain for the Dodgers once he develops.
