Should I start Carl Everette today against Derick Lowe?

other options are

Torri Hunter and Kevin Millar Torri is batting .368 and better OBP than Carl, but only 2 doubles and 3 rbis in the last 6 games. Millar is in a slump batting .143 the last week.

Carl is 1 for 6 lifetime against Lowe.

Batting .368 the last 7 days Carl is my hottest hitter. He got a triple against Wakefield last night. and didn't go good against Pedro the day before.

C Everett tripled to right, A Rodriguez, R Palmeiro and J Gonzalez scored.

just happened.

2 triples in 2 games, wow I would thing that would be hard to do.

Good think I stuck with him. triples are harder to come by than homeruns.

Lowe is not fit to be a starter IMO. He will blow out his arm by the end of the year.

Are you crazy?? Lowe was 3rd in votes for Cy Young last year. I hate to tell ya, but that ain't luck. He has plenty of arm strength, and he doesn't look like hes straining to pitch fast(as Pedro did last year.) Ya he's having a hard time right now, but so is Schilling, Randy, and Maddux. All of these guys will come around. Its not even a month in, calm down.

I think it was Tom Verducci who wrote an interesting pre-season article on watching guys who just experienced a huge jump in IP. Lowe was a major innings jumper...from 92 to 219. Yikes!

Expect him on the DL at some point.
