We have had what I considered a pretty cool tradition the past few years in our league. The first day that the pitchers/catchers reported we used a random draft order site that would email us our draft order for the upcoming season.
I was a big fan of this. Baseball was starting to be talked about on ESPN, and the fantasy baseball talk and trade possibilities would shortly follow with the guys in our league. It just made it seem like the season was closer when we had this to discuss. I also liked this as far as strategy goes. If you got an early pick, you could start planning what you wanted to do. If you got a late pick, you could cross quite a few people off your list. Everyone would be asking everyone else who they planned on taking, and rarely got a truthful answer so it made draft day pretty interesting.
A few guys think this spoils the excitement of draft day. I can see where they are coming from, but I will really miss finding out the order early if we decide to do that.
What do you guys do? Do you usually have your draft order established prior to draft day?

we usually post the draft order 2 weeks prior to draft day. Gives people enough time for speculation on their pick and to gleam info from the other teams on who they want.
