Photoshop primarily ..... Fireworks can be used too.

Photoshop is king. Unfortunately, it's also king of the price tag. You can try Paint Shop Pro. It's similar to Photoshop and less spendy.

Are there any decent, cheap (less than $40-$50 -- or better yet free :-D

) editing programs available? I downloaded the PSP download a while back, but the demo expired before I really could learn much and I couldn't reinstall it. :-?

I'm not looking for something with all the bells and whistles, just something to do the basic editing stuff (cropping, resizing, adding some text, etc). Figured this was the best place to ask. ;-D
