Are there any fake catchers this year?

Postby Absolutely Adequate » Sat Jan 01, 2005 3:06 pm

I'm sitting here working on my catcher rankings and I just want to make sure that I'm not missing any fake catchers this year. Assume that I'm going by Yahoos 15 game minimum.

Thanks.

What are the D'backs plans for Hammock? With Finley gone and Hill, Snyder, and Navarro, they might put him in the OF, I guess. I'm assuming one of those other three C will also go to LA for Green.

Here's how it's looking in Arizona:
News: However, the inclusion of top catching prospect Dioner Navarro in the package of Yankees players that would go to the Diamondbacks fueled speculation that he would then be dealt to the Dodgers in a deal for Green.
- If they don't deal for Green, I'm assuming they'd move Tracy to rightfield, start Terrero in center, and I think Hammock will start at catcher.
- If they do get Green, they'd start Green in rightfield, and either Terrero or Tracy in center, and Hammock will still be their catcher.

The Diamondbacks are screwing themselves, they have too many players to fill the 1B, 3B, LF, and RF positions .... but crappy ones to fill the C, 2B, SS, and CF positions. It's a big mess over there. :-°

What about Matt LeCroy? :-? I don't know how much playing time he'll get this year. But then again, I never thought much of him when he played regularly :-P

he is still eligible at C this year, but he has never showed me a whole lot to consider him as my mainstay C
