Good riddance 2004

Postby Mookie4ever » Fri Dec 31, 2004 10:07 am

I can't post this anywhere else or else I will be accused of whining and our more ignorant cafe members will call the Blue Jays an embarrassment.

2004 was a miserable year for our beloved Jays. Deaths: 3 members of JP's family, Cerutti, Ault & Mattick. On field: no pitching, no hitting = 94 losses. Of field: can't afford Carlos, can't buy any free agents. ... ubName=mlb

At least we have one of the best minor league systems in the majors and it's always good to see the youngsters produce in the majors. Still, good riddance 2004, bring on 2005.

yeah its gotta be tough to be a Blue Jays fan right now, especially after such a solid 2003 ..

I was cruising thre the paper the other day, and I saw this quote and it kinda shocked me though...

"what they should do is move the franchise to Las Vegas, 'cus everybody knows that Toronto is an embarassment of an organization" Joe Carter .. ;-7

I like the Jays minor league system, but most places have really downgraded it. BA put it in the middle of all teams.
They just don't seem to have a really top prospect right now, lots of good, solid ones though.
