The Yanks must expect to get nothing from Giambi next season, because they must know they will probably get next to nothing from Tino.
Brutal? Yeah, but likely.

Tino is still good for 20-25 homeruns and 80 RBI if he gets playing time. He's got a great glove and his clubhouse presence is second to none. That isn't 'next to nothing'.

Worst signing the Yanks have ever made probably. Can't think of a bigger loser, though if Vaz and/or Weaver had stuck/stunk around, I think both would be mentioned in the same type of light.

But the Red Sox aren't doing the same thing as the Yankees this offseason

Its not just the Yankees, or just them and the Sox now, its the Angels, Mets, Mariners, Dodgers etc.
