Only thing there might be the injury concern. Still he should not go that low if he is only projected to miss a month. He is a solid 3rd round pick if fully healthy.

One really has to wonder how these guys become "experts". And this guy is spewing nonsense like O. Cabera in the 4th based on position scarcity. I mean that has been pretty much invalidated as a draft strategy in the early rounds from everything I have ever seen or done in fantasy. Look at the players he by-passed for Cabrera...Mo, VM, Hudson, Oswalt, Blalock, Wood, Nathan, etc...it is laughable to argue position scarcity makes O. Cabrera a better choice than Roy Oswalt or any of the others.

This guy got his start on rotoworld and left to form his own site/was kicked off when AllStar bought them out. But just the fact that he is drafting with these other guys means he has achieved "expert" status. Of course some of those other guys are Funston and Karabell, so it may indeed be the blind leading the blind.

Remember guys like these love two types of players:

Outfielders who can go 20/20

and middle infielders who can hit more than 10 homeruns.

Almost every mock draft you read about is based on a Roto style format, and it seems like these "experts" try to finish in third or fourt place in nearly every category in order to finish first overall.

Time and again, I see this as the strategy of choice, and almost everyone punts closers, as they seem to think that saves can be had on the cheap somewhere down the line.... by making trades they JUST KNOW they can pull off.

Im bored, so here are some thoughts-

Round 1- Pujols should not last till pick 3 with A-rod losing SS eligibility. A-Rod is either pick 3 or 4, deadlocked with Vlad. Soriano will return to stud status, Abreu owners will be slightly disapointed if they take him that high. Crawford as a first rounder. Man, my keepr choices are tough this year

Round 2- Surprised Santana lasted. thats a good spot for beltre, he's not a top 12 pick. Rollins

Round 3- Mora is a bad pick. I like wells to bounce back, but i think he can be had later. Too early for huff. You can get similar production later

Round 4- enough has been said on cabrera and podsednik. I like the giles pick. He's gonna have a great year

Round 5- Oswalt is great value. The guy is a stud as long as he doesnt wear down. Too early for wright. Blalock and Sexson could be great value. I'll never get why closers go that early. I wont take one till round 7 and i dont care if it kills me again

Round 6- Too early for clemens. We dont even know if he is playing yet. Moose has some left in the tank. Peavy and Mags were good value

Round 7- I hope i can get this kind of closer value in my draft. Id love to get hoffman or isringhausen in the 7th. Too early for reyes. Morneau could be a huge steal. Matsui is sooo solid

Round 8- Damon, Garret Anderson and Zambrano are great value. Hafner doesnt qualify at a position unless you have very lenient requirements. Green wont hit more than 30 HR again

Round 9- Mulder, Beckett and Harden are good gambles here. Casey is gonna fall off a ton. Matsui is a lousy pick. He's got very low upside IMO

Round 10- Some more decent closer value(Looper, Mota) Bay will be solid. Piazza is finished, but is an ok gamble this late. MAuer hasnt proven a thing yet

Round 11- Loretta is tremendous value. As are Zito and Burnett. Too early for upton in a non-keeper. I own him as a rookie keeper and im not too optimistic right now. Bags is clearly on the downslide, but he's ok at this point

Round 12- Glaus is a good pick. Hitters ball park and he was unreal last year when he was healthy early. A good "sell high" candidate. Guillen and Wilson are talented, but trouble. Vidro and Clement have some upside for mid rounders

Round 13- Ryan is a good gamble at this point. He should be good for 25 saves with good K #'s. Raffy keeps plugging along. I think Gonzo is done. If utley didnt play 2B we souldnt know his name

Round 14- Surprised Uribe lasted this long. There is alot of hype around him and his qualifies at a few positions. Womack will score tons of runs if he hits leadoff. Walker is always the same story(good if healthy) Not a ton of upside with most of these picks

Round 15- Griffey is clearly cursed, but someone always take the plunge. Crosby's average kills him, but you have to like him this late. He'll get better. 13 rounds after rollins!? 6 after Matsui!? Its a sad day when greg maddux only goes 1 spot ahead of rodrigo lopez

Round 16- Sabathia is a very good pick. Guy just needs some support. Kearns and LeCroy have some upside. I dont like wright, but ill take him in the 16th if i get the chance.

Round 17- I like piniero to rebound. Hudson could get 20-20, which makes him good value. Overbay is a nice pick this late. The bad team closers go off the board.

Round 18-Dimitri young can hit when healthy. I dont believe in Buck, but this late, what can you do. Grienke is a good risk. If doug davis has that ERA again ill eat my shorts

Round 19- Giambi is a good risk at this point. Its round 19 for god sakes. Thomas is old, but can still produce. Koskie is solid. Greene will improve offensivly. How does freel last this long when other SB specialists went in the top 5 rounds? Bonderman has some upside

Round 20- Brown could still win if he's in NY. Penny was good. Rios and Berroa are good gambles. Wow, RAndy wolf fell far. He's better than that

Round 21- Man the willis hype train Derailed. Good risk pick. Swisher could be solid. Milton is gonna suck. Im finished drinking the brett myers kool-aid

Round 22- Nothing too exciting. Hinske has upside. I wont touch padilla. Cameron will put up his usual numbers

Round 23- Morris this late is a freaking joke. Still waiting for olivo to hit. Guys like guzman and molina are almost worthless in fantasy. Urbina is a steal if his situation ever gets worked out.

Overall, very strange draft. Although it has inspired me to speed up my draft preperation.
