What round and pick would Ben Sheets go in?(5x5 roto keeper league)

I've actually seen Sheets drafted in the late first round in one of the drafts, I forget which one that was, yahoo maybe??? But then sporting news has him going in the late 2nd round. I've only seen those two mock drafts so I guess anywhere in the first 3 rounds

yeah - he's going very early in a lot of drafts end of 1st - mid 2nd. Not saying Id grab him there, but this is where he's been going.

Sheets would most likely be gone by the 3rd round in a 12-team league. I have him as the most promising of the young lions at SP, ahead of Perez, Zambrano, Peavy, and Beckett. His numbers were filthy last year. His run support is awful, though, so I don't see him getting more than 12 or 13 wins. Last year, with a 2.7 ERA he only got 12 wins.

He's also pitched a ton of innings over the last three years for such a young pitcher. That's a testament to his durability, but he should be careful less he run the risk of throwing his arm out, like a number of other young studs have done over the past few years.

I'm surprised he's been going that high, especially for someone with no track record of success who appears to have just 'figured it out' one year.

I hope he goes that high in my league, I don't mind moving up a draft spot that early.

I haven't done my pitchers yet but I still dont think I have him in my top 10. What this means is I'd draft him round 5 depending on the deepness of a league, but I wouldn't make him the ace of my staff. A good two would be awesome on a fantasy team.

Wow i got him 5th round in a 14 team draft and thought i made out like a bandit. From what you guys are saying it doesn't look like that great of a pick after all. More like where he should have gone.
I personally think he is a stud and if your fellow drafters are more of the forum's mindset than be happy to get him as your ace in the 3rd or 4th round and let use their top 3 picks on the "real" studs.

I'm in a 14-team league and definitely have him in my top 14. Therefore, I expect him to be somebody's staff ace. Bummer about the shoddy run support, but there's no reason his other numbers should fall off.
