Rogers, Drese, and Chan Ho will definitely have spots. Not sure if that gets a ;-D or a :-t . Lol. :-b Our rotation is so sad. :-/

I did forget to mention Dominguez though ;-D .

I don't think Astacio has any chance in the world of landing a starting spot though. Most likely AAA for him, plus it was a minor league deal he signed with an invite to spring training. B-)

Hey mad...Colby isn't in the Rangers system, so he won't be getting a rotation spot for sure. Benoit has had shoulder problems so he won't either. And Astacio signed a major league contract. I think Young will get a shot though because the Rangers signed him to a three year deal. I think Ricardo, Young, and Astacio will battle it out for the two final spots. I have heard that Juan Dominguez has been tardy to several practices and it is wearing on buck, so he might start in AAA solely for that reason.

Chit! I missed that Detroit picked Lewis up off waivers :-[ . I'm really slipping a bit. :-/

Didn't know that Benoit had shoulder problems though. News to me. :-?

As to Astacio, I had heard a minor league deal, but you're right again. Just went and checked, and he held out for a major league deal and got it. From Rotoworld:
Astacio held out for a major league contract and it looks like he received one.
But they also say this:

Because of his shoulder problems, he's never going to be the pitcher he used to be. He might be able to work 150 league-average innings, though, and that has value to a team like the Rangers.

Not sure he can stay healthy for a year, but who knows. I didn't even like the signing when it was announced as a minor league deal. :-/

Thanks for setting me straight on a few things (sad as it is that the Rangers are my team and I'm that far behind. :-o ). ;-D

I'll get back on the ball soon. I moved recently and my wife got a new job schedule and the combination is causing mass chaos with my normal schedule. I'll get it figured out soon. B-)
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
