Neither one is worth drafting before the 20th round.

Nixon will probably be the better bet to at least play 100 games.

Nixon... I think

Postby xmbush » Wed Dec 29, 2004 4:38 pm

Something is really weird about Nixon's issues last year... The guy got hurt driving to ST. With that said, I would stay away from him....

However, There is no way Dye ends up on my team (been burnt there before)...

If i was FORCED to take 1....I go Nixon. He could end up with 30HR and 110 RBI (in that line-up....he could be SICK)

I went with Dye. he had a good first half last year and I think if he can stay healthy he'll have the better stats.

I think believe Nixon will have a JD Drew bustout type year. Whether it's this year or not, who knows.

Dye's a White Sox now right?? I suppose he could put together a good 1/2 a year there before getting hurt. But there's really no "sell high" point with him (like Drew this past year) -- because you expect him to get hurt later.

I'd take Nixon.

No way I would ever choose Dye over Nixon. Dye is a player who still gets drafted on his potential, and I would never draft him, even with a gun to my head. Nixon will never get 110 RBI, as he hits like 6th or 7th in Boston, but you can pencil him in for 25 HR,90 RBI with a .290 BA. Dye has the body of a 79 year old geriatric man who needs a Lark to get around. Avoid him at all costs!

Is that really true? I geuss I missed that somehow. I always thought/assumed it was a game related leg injury.
