MacDougal won't be closing in KC to start the year. It will be Affeldt and unless he implodes he should hang on to the job for at least this year.
I wouldn't change the rank any, but just the player. Affeldt has nasty stuff, but I'm not sure he's got the makeup. Besides, how many leads are the Royals going to have to save anyway?

I purposely left him out. Without Mulder and Hudson the A's aren't gonna give him too many save opportunities. I'd say he'll be lucky to break 30

How bad do you really think the A's will be without Hudson and Mulder?
By my count there wer 5 closers last year over 30 saves on teams with sub .500 records. I don't believe the A's will be a sub .500 team next year and therefore because they have a proven closer with great stuff I believe it would be extremely unlucky if he did not get 30.
But hey to each his own.
