Well thats the rules...If you want a pennant you buy it...The redsox did...they dodgers are trying too....I forgot LA is such a small market!

Not true. The Yankees have tons of great prospects, they're just not playing in the minors right now...............they're on other MLB rosters. They'll be "called up" to the big team, when they're contracts expire.

The Red Sox bought it on sale. 30% percent off.

Too bad some of RSN forget that they shop in the same store as the Yankees. They just can't afford all of the same merchandise.

With no salary cap if the Yankees, Red Sox or anybody else wants to spend tons of money on players they have all the right in the world. I don't feel bad for any teams small. mid size or large market if they can't or won't spend. If they can't stand the heat. Get the hell out of the kitchen. This is a business. The little guy gets left behind. the big guys move on to bigger and better things. Also remember Florida three years ago didn't have a huge payroll. So its not always about the money.
I seem to remember Baltimore a few years ago had one of the highest payrolls in the AL maybe even in baseball and didn't make the playoffs.

Just my opinion, but the Twins will win the WS this year, erasing the notion that big money wins. That'll show'em.
