RIP Doug Ault

Ault died Dec. 22 at 54 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at his Tarpon Springs, Fla., home. The Blue Jays announced his death Monday.

Tarpon Springs police had suspected Ault's death was a suicide, Sgt. Jeff Young said. The police declined to elaborate, citing a pending investigation.

Ault became part of Blue Jays lore when he hit two home runs in the first game of the expansion team's history.

Any Jays fan knows Doug Ault hit two homers on opening day in 1977 as the jays opened the franchise against the White Sox after the field was "zambonied"... 'tis a sad day in Toronto. John Cerutti a few months ago, and now Doug Ault. Ernie Whitt better watch his back.

Yeah I heard about this over the holidays. It does come in threes because former Jays manager Bobby Mattick died just days before.

Mattick was a scout, coach and manager with the Jays for almost 20 years. He died on Dec 16 at the age of 89.

Is it just me, or does he resemble Jim Carrey?

Sad that so many deaths have happened recently. :,-(
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
