retired? or is that many teams gave up on him already . Im suurprised that the low-mid market teams dont want to sign for like a 3 millin dollar guarnteed contract that could go up with to like 8 mill with incentive type deal.

As long as my Royals don't sign him again...what a huge mistake that was last year... :-P

I haven't heard an announcement about retirement. As far as I know, he's availiable. His attitude is probably what's keeping anyone from signing him. If Juan's not happy, Juan doesn't play. What a waste of talent he turned out to be. :-/

Here is the latest from Rotoworld on him.

Latest News Dec. 11, 2004 - 12:22 am et

The Devil Rays met with Juan Gonzalez's agent on Friday, but they reportedly have only mild interest in the slugger.
It's mild interest all around. Given that the Twins have potential openings in right field and at DH, they might join the Rays and A's in talking to Gonzalez. The Mariners and Angels also are on the lookout for DHs.

He's earned enough money on teams trowing cash at a washed up player who refuses to stay healthy.

:-t to Juan Gon. He should go party with Jose Canseco in California, he's not wanted in baseball anymore.

Juan Gone has leeched so much money in the last 3-4 years from teams that if he had half a brain he's got tons of money and should just retire.

Why would any team trust Juan to play when most fantasy owners, including myself, don't trust him enough fill a roster spot?

I'm done with him. He had a couple of great seasons a while ago, I don't see him staying "healthy" all year - or half the year for that matter.

Don't waste your time thinking about him. :-t
