I saw this on tv last night and they mentioned that the Earth's orbit was slightly affected as well. They didn't go into much detail about the orbit part, so it's probably a very small change, but interesting nonetheless.


they aren't sure of the actual change yet, but they are saying it might actually change the length of the day, if only by a few milliseconds.

CNN had a little blurb about that, and the scientist they quoted called it a "brief wobble" of the earth on its axis.
