It should be real interesting to see where the salaries go when the luxury tax disappears after 2006. Good riddance. For some reason I just don't think its served as any type of spending deterrent for the big market owners and it hasnt been that much of boon for smaller market teams.

They made more than $24 million in profit, not including the profit from the YES network. The Red Sox in a smaller Ballpark made more than 25 million not including NESN. These owners can afford to spend money because they are gross close to $300 million (and probably more). you are looking at 150 million dollars just from ticket sales.
