God, I can't wait to see the Giants when Bonds retires in 2 years. They'd better win it all in the next 2 years...

I'm not a big fan of the 2nd year, but at least they're not giving up that much $. As a hitter Alou is head-and-shoulders above everyone else in SF not named Bonds since Kent left town.

I would think this has gotta give him a bump in value....he is gonna get alot of RBI opportunities and alot of pitches to hit now....

But he's also not going to be surrounded with the hitters that he was in Chicago. I could be wrong, but I think Lee, Ramirez, Nomar, etc would provide him with as many if not more RBI and R chances than pretty much just Bonds. He's also leaving a more hitter friendly Wrigley.

Maybe Bonds will give him some of that rejuvenating flaxseed oil. ;-)
