God, I can't wait to see the Giants when Bonds retires in 2 years. They'd better win it all in the next 2 years...

I'm not a big fan of the 2nd year, but at least they're not giving up that much $. As a hitter Alou is head-and-shoulders above everyone else in SF not named Bonds since Kent left town.

But he's also not going to be surrounded with the hitters that he was in Chicago. I could be wrong, but I think Lee, Ramirez, Nomar, etc would provide him with as many if not more RBI and R chances than pretty much just Bonds. He's also leaving a more hitter friendly Wrigley.
