any other thoughts?
I personally think that Podsednik in the 4th round was the worst pick of the draft. I was also suprised to see sheets drop to the 5th when I snagged him. Morneau in the 5th stands out.
Fun read, especially since I'm in a 14-teamer myself.
I like 'Joe's' squad, but think 'Sterling' pulled off a superb first 10 rounds (Sheets-Peavy in 5-6 after four high-average, power-speed combo guys was a stroke of brilliance).
The high risk/high reward honors go to 'Doug' ... BBoone, Halladay, Glaus, Sexson, LGonzalez, AJBurnett all on one team? Good luck.
How bout the all DL team?
Check out the # of guys on 'Steve's' team that have spent a significant amount of time on the DL in recent years.
Pedro, Piazza, Chavez, V. Wells, Reyes, Brown, Griffey, and best of all Juan Gone.
Thanks Ak i was quite pleased as well. (I'm Sterling) Do you think I made any major mistakes in the back half of the draft? This was the deepest draft I've ever been a part of and had trouble picking guys in the late rounds.

No, no mistakes, per se. I just hadn't studied the entire draft that deep when I posted. I think Bonderman might be a sneaky good pick at 14 and ABoone a nice gamble in the 17th, especially if he retains 2b eligibility.
The one pick I'd have avoided is Vinny Castilla at 3b with him moving out of Coors. Is the Mets' DWright still out there? I'd strongly consider a FA move on him.
Good luck.
If you notice, i thankfully snagged Wright in the minor league draft (we include rookies from last year since its our first minor draft).
I admit the Castilla pick was my worst of the draft kinda forgot about the Coors effect.
