seems like your question's been answered, so I'll take the liberty of hijacking this thread What does the list function do?

You qualify if you a MLB rookie or was one last year. They can be called up anytime but once they are they can never go back to being a minor leaguer. Benefit of not calling them up is that you can keep them for next year. So you can keep a bright prospect on your team and wait for him to turn into a stud. We drafted minor leaguers first. we start C, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, lf, rf, cf, util Sp, SP, Rp, Rp, P, P, P, 5 Bench.

This is a 14 team 5x5 H2H yahoo league that just this year added two new teams. You are allowed to keep 2 players. We start c, 1b, 2b, 3b, ss, lf, cf, rf, util, sp, sp, rp, rp, p, p, p with 5 bench plaers.
The minor league draft which happened first was just implemented this year. You qualify for this draft if you are an mlb rookie or was one last year. You can keep the minor leaguer on your minor league roster as long as you want but as soon as u call him up he loses eligibility. This allows you to keep a prospect on your team year to year until hes a stud and you want to call him up.
And yes a snake draft.
Also jivedude didnt include it but Arod, Vlad, Soriano, Santana, Thome, Irod, Helton, Bonds, Beltre, Tejeda, Gagne, Manny, Pujols, Beltran, and V-Mart were kept.
a very interesting draft....some people fell that i thought would have earlier(oswalt, zambrano, peavy, sheets, wells, m cabrera)....and some were drafted way earlier than was expecting(morneau, piazza, b boone, vidro)......
I like Joe's team. I think he got good value on the players he took in the 1st 9 rounds. Looks like he'll need a good SS, unless Arod is still eligible in this league.
KP and sterling have good teams two.
And did Brian really have to draft I-Rod in the 1st round?
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
