Oh yeah - its definitely not something that is a short term strategy. If played properly however (and it really isnt that hard to do considering the lack of knowledge regarding this strategy makes the targets relatively low demand), you can put 2-3 MRs together with better numbers than say... Santana. Its really not that much of a stretch. The whole concept is based on IP - what does a pitcher give you per IP? I argue that there are plenty of MR pitchers with much better stats per IP than the elite SPs.
