who do you expect better numbers from this year? Who would you rather have in a keeper league?
The Reds might stink, but I'm still a fan!

carlos lee by far...im sorry, he's still young 28 and has improved almost every year...expect 30 HR 100+ RBI and a AVG of 2.90

Lee, because he has a five year track record whereas Bay has not even performed over a full season.

As much as I'm biased towards Bay, I'd have to agree and say Lee is your guy. Bay has a lot of pop, but he strikes out a ton. Had he played the whole year, he would have competed for the team lead with "K"raig Wilson. If he hits .300 this year, I'd be happy.
Bay doesn't walk a whole lot either, thus decreasing his OBP. He does have good speed, but the Pirates rarely steal nor does he steal well.
It's hard to translate what Lee will do now that he's in the NL, but I'd still take what he's done in the past over what possible potential Bay has.

Lee, but both make great keepers

lee's better. As good as bay is, i dont believe he is really all that younger than Lee(26 i think) and lee has put up better numbers.
both are very good 3rd OF's in a standard mixed league. could also be solid 2nd OF's if you draft positional scarcity early

As everyone has stated Carlos Lee bye far.
Allow me to throw another reason to go with Lee out here.
Last year the WhiteSox attempted 129 steals. Carlos Lee's new team, the Brewers attempted 178 steals. He should get the green light to steal even more and could surpass his 2003 high of 18 stolen bases.
The Pirates are lowest on the list of steals attempted of these 3 teams last year with 103 attempted steals. Jason Bay has the potential for 15 steals, but Carlos Lee is still bye far the safer bet.

I guess I should state that Scott Podsednick inflated those attempted steals numbers as a team for the Brewers last year.
None the less, I still think Carlos Lee will get more chances to steal.
