Looper

Is this guy good? He's faced four guys tonight and struck them all out.

I have a claim in for Izzy and am dumping Looper (hope to get him back after I put Izzy on the DL, though).

Should I cancel this? To put it another way, is it Looper too much to risk the possibility that Izzy will still being hurt and not help much?
I'm back. Sorta.

I would keep Looper, he is solid as the Marlins closer. Who knows
when and how good Izzy will retrun. Marlins will be competitive this
year. However, I would surely look to drop someone else to Pick up
Izzy

Leiter

Postby Transmogrifier » Wed Apr 23, 2003 11:40 pm

Leiter and Ibanez are very hot. Leiter's gotten me three wins, and Ibanez has been great while Konerko was suffering (before I got Lee).

I have a lot of pitching because I have no real ace. (I traded Oswalt for Bonds).

I don't know... I'm thinking of letting it ride. I'm at the bottom of the waiver list anyway, so he might not get to me. If he does, then I can think about it.

Drop Furcal. The guy doesn't know what a ball is, and he doesn't know how to take a pitch without waving his bat at it.

Thanks for the advice...

I appreciate it. I should have thought of Furcal. He was getting me steals, but since I got Lee, he's not that useful. I can try to get him back later if I need him... and he's less likely to be picked up.

But, with Arod, it's not like I really need a backup.

SO I dropped Furcal, grabbed Izzy, put him on the DL, dropped Hoffman (on the DL... can't wait that long), and picked up Incarnacion--for the second time. I like this guy.
I'm back. Sorta.

I have Looper. He is doing pretty well but can be scary to watch. Last few times I saw him besides yesterday when he struck out four, he always put runners in scoring position before he ended the game. He's still better than Izzy, and I would definitely drop Furcal. You have A. Rod at SS and you have Tori Hunter and Lee that can fill in utility. Those are awesome utility options with speed.
