Giambi might still do decent at least... look at Bonds.. he's off the roids and he's still doing great. I think Giambi will have these stats

I think Giambi makes a great sleeper pick. Most people out there are soured on him because of the grief he caused last season. I drafted him in the 3rd round of a very deep, 20 team, Die Hard league last season and I kept him around until the last month of the year. I am one of the people that are very sour.

However, I don't believe his skills have diminished as far as last season's numbers would indicate. If he can come back in 05 healthy and in the Yankees lineup, I think he will surprise a lot of fantasy owners out there. I still can't project a 500+ AB season with any confidence, but I feel relatively comfortable projecting 400 AB for 05:

If Giambi is healthy all season, and bats .315, he will have a lot more HR's than 25 .

He just has HIGH RISK written all over him. I'd hate to think he was my "main man" at 1st.

I think he makes a great sleeper pick this year. Most will have soured on him and you can get him cheap. For instance in the 05 mock auction draft I was able to get him for $8. I think he would give me great value at $8. Now I would never go into the season with him as my 1b but the potential is too good to pass up. IMO

I think the .315 idea is way out there. I don't think he can hit .300 again, at least not yet when he's hit .250 and .208 or whatever it was last year.

I think he could hit 300 again. But I agree with folks here that he's a huge risk. I can't really see drafting him earlier than the 15th round.

I dunno about that. I don't think they would be banned if they just put an extra 10 feet on your flyballs. Anyone got any links or info?

I thought they helped you tear away and recover muscle better. If that's the case, there's no way to put a cap on how much they could help you. That doesn't make sense to me.
