He's a met? Thats the best veteran signing they've ever had! The Big Cat is awesome. He'll bring some fire, fun, and solid power pinch hitting to any team. Look what he did for the giants a couple years ago.

yea...they signed him a few days ago to a minor league contract
600,000 for one year
theyre waiting for spring training to move him up to majors

He'll hit his 400th career HR wearing a Mets uni. That's cool. Should draw a few extra fans to Shea. I like power off the bench. That's something the Mets needed. We still don't know who will be the Mets everyday 1B. We may see a platoon of sorts if the Mets don't sign Delgado and settle for a lesser option.
