Best Rotation 2005

Postby Sunspot » Wed Dec 22, 2004 7:30 pm

I know this has been talked about before, but I was wondering if the signing of Wade Miller by Boston has changed anyones mind.
Also with Mulder and Hudson leaving Oakland. I say the Sox ROTATION IS TOUGH TO BEAT (I like the El Duque signing but I am talking Red Sox here).
1. Red Sox
2. Cubs
3. Yankees
4. Braves
5. Astros

Whats your opinion?

The Cubs still have the best rotation in baseball hands down.

I agree and even if and when the Yankees asign RJ I would still rank the Cubbies # 1

Red Sox are diffenitly better than the Yanks without RJ... B-)

I would just like to thank the Red Sox for bringing in a Miller whose name is actually spelled correctly ;-)

As of right now I'd probably say:

1. Cubs -- if all are healthy
2. Astros -- if Clemens comes back and Pettite's elbow is 100%
3. Red Sox
4. Yankees -- up to 3rd when they land RJ :-/
5. Braves

RJ's knee scares me. I'd much rather have Schilling.

RJ without a second thought. Schilling isn't exactly a young pup either and coming off an injury.

The best rotation on paper is easily the Cubs, but the top 3 of the staff (if you put Maddux at 4) are just so unpredictable I wouldn't put much faith into them.

RJ for me. Like Tav said Schilling isn't much younger and his injury seemed to be just as serious as RJ's knee. :-?
