Injury risk IMO. Lots of things to criticize there IMO. Mussina and Clement for example were not picked in the top 120. Randy Winn went ahead of them. Larry Walker and Wade Miller and Johnny Estrada before Moose...that is too messed up.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Doh. Fixed. That's what I get for trying to be creative that early.

The more I look at that draft, the more I think a couple of these guys were just insane. Irod is a good player, put #20 overall? Same for M. Young at #32 overall and Rollins at #39...all ahead of Chavez and Hudson?
Mulder ahead of Pedro...
Vazquez at #56...Ahead of Berkman, Dunn, Smoltz, Kent, Moose (not picked top 120), Clement (not picked top 120), and Halladay...and ahead of about 50 other better choices IMO.
