Which means that Drew is not likely signing with them. They will never get a better deal for stiffs like Green and Ishii depsite the complaining in LA.

Rotoworld:
According to ESPNews, the three-team Randy Johnson trade is dead as currently contructed.
The Dodgers reportedly have pulled out of the deal. Perhaps they could be enticed to get back involved. If not, then the Yankees will have to work out another arrangement to get Johnson. It's still likely that the Big Unit will begin 2005 in pinstripes

Dammit.

Paul couldn't handle the heat from the morons here in LA. I guess it's easier to handle upset fans in a small city like Oakland... not so much here.

It was probably the only deal that could have saved the Dodgers next year. :-t

Well if true D'backs are screwed also. Yanks are never going to give up any more than the offer that was on the table, IMO.

I doubt the Diamondbacks mind holding onto RJ. They actually have a shot at the division if they keep RJ IMO.

How is that? Glaus and Russ Ortiz are not changing the price of tea in the NL West. Their projected lineup as of now:

#1 Chad Tracy 1B
#2 Craig Counsell 2B
#3 Luis Gonzalez LF
#4 Troy Glaus 3B
#5 Shawn Green RF...replace with McCracken
#6 Chris Synder C
#7 Royce Clayton SS
#8 Luis Terrero CF
#9 pitcher

Not scaring anyone to say the least.

Compare that to any lineup in the West and I think you have a winner.

Anyone can win the NL West. It's like winning the AAA world series. :-D

I do not think so. At least the Giants and the Dodgers have good bullpens and guys like Schmidt. And SD is a decent all-round team.

The D'backs:

Rotation:
#1 Russ Ortiz
#2 Brandon Webb
#3 RJ
#4 Casey Fossum lhp
#5 Steve Randolph lhp

Bullpen:
closer Greg Aquino
setup Randy Choate lhp
setup Brian Bruney
middle Brandon Lyon
middle Lance Cormier
