Thoughts on Carlos Beltran

I just traded a lot for him. I'm wondering what people's thoughts on him are.

He'll be awesome. Hopefully he gets traded to Texas, like many believe he will. He is a 5 category fantasy player and you won't regret it. What did you give up for him?

I got him yesterday for Winn and Benson which I think is a steal. I also think he will have a great season once he finds his grove. As long as you didn't sell the farm to get him you should get a very nice return on your investment.

he just needs to play a week or 2 before he starts getting his rythym and feel back and then i wouldn't want to play the Royals as strange as it feels to say that

He always starts off slow, give him a week and he will be very solid.

I seriously doubt he will get traded to Texas...i will eat my hat if that rumor came true.

He is a 5 tool players. In terms of fantasy production, he's definitely a top 25 player in a league that has the steals category. I don't really like him though since he's not as good in real life as he is in fantasy baseball. He's not a perenial .300 hitter and he's never actually been a 30-30 guy. He's very streaky. Overall I'd take him for my team but I hate him and all other players who suck in real life.

i traded cruz jr for him this past week, cruz will cool down significantly and beltran will put up some nice numbers... cant wait

i think you bench beltran for a bit until he gets it going. fortunately, on teh team i've got him on, i've also got vlad, manny, burrell, carlos lee, and ibanez. suffice to say, beltran can have a week or two off and my team should be ok.
