Look, Dunn & Kearns are absolute steals right now for the numbers those guys put up. Last year they made $445k & $400k respectively. I'm not sure when their contracts are up, but the only way those guys will be moved this offseason is in a Billy Beane/Expos-style "dump-them-before-we-have-to-pay-them" BS trade.
If they're going to move an OF, it's got to be Griffey who made over $9mil last year for 300 ABs (that's 30grand an at bat kids-good work if you can get it).
As a Cubs fan, if you asked me, I'd say the Reds could have Sosa and Kyle Farnsworth, plus a prospect or 20, for Griffey. I don't care if Griff plays have the season. Cubs could play him in RF and hope he doesn't get hurt (like LA will do w/ JD Drew-good luck w/ that).
It's not realistic, but I wouldn't put it past Hendry. I just wish the Reds weren't so cheap.

KC was wanting Kearns. I think given Kearns injuries, CIN wouldnt ask a ton.....and the Royals have soem good young SP.....or even better, Cincy could rid us of Brian Anderson!
That would be nice...Anderson for Kearns....KC would probably eat soem of Anderson's deal too.

hey Geroge might do it... he needs a centerfeilder if beltran stays in Houston (that 96 million should be pretty tempting)
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.
Oh, it could happen (I hope KC isn't that stupid though). KC does not have many pitchers except greinke and wood, they will not give up future talent for a bat. Baseball is a pitching game, thats it. No matter what anyone says, pitching is more important then hitting. kearns still has some value, but i can't see a team taking a chance on him unless they got him severely cheap in a high risk / high reward type deal. Griffey ain't going anywhere unless Cincy gets a player with the same type of contract in return (sosa, Shawn green, etc...) , Wily is just emerging and I doubt he has shown full potential, Reds manageemnt (I assume) realizes that. Freel has great speed and a decent bat, but the price on him in the market is considerably low and I doubt they could get ANYTHING worhwhile for him.
Good luck Reds...
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!
