I figure this might get lost with all the news today, but what do you all think about Rowand for next season? Was last year a fluke? What about some projections on him?

I think the opinon here is 50/50 on whether last year was a fluke. I think if he gets the PT and can stay healthy repeating last year wouldn't be a problem. With Lee, and Maggs gone he should get the PT, but his numbers may take a hit anyway since they're gone. I guess I'm as lost as you are on this one. :-D

I think there was a thread here a little while back, about him. Those numbers don't seem too off, but I'll try to dig mine up when I get home. ;-)

I don't think Rowand was a fluke, but I wouldn't project as good of a season for 05 as he had in 04. Here are my projections for 2005:

21 HR, 74 RBI, 11 SB, .288/.350/.505

Still a decent season, just a step down from 2004.

Can't see why his projections fall from the loss of Lee and Mags.

Post allstar break with no Thomas and Mags he got to play regularly and was 57R 15HR 48RBI 8SBs .319 .936 OPS batting mostly leadoff

Now he'll probably bat 2nd after Pods and in front of Thomas Konerko Dye and the OZ wanting more SBs.

I say 100 R, 28 HR 95 RBI 23 SB .300 .900 OPS
